Iran Steps Up Attacks on Iranian Kurdish Party Bases in Kurdistan Region; Five Members Killed

14 days into the Iran–Israel conflict, Iran has intensified attacks on the bases of Iranian Kurdish parties in the Kurdistan Region.
At least five Kurdish fighters have been killed since the start of the conflict:

– Jalal Rashid (Kawan) – member of the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK) – killed in a drone strike in Degala, east of Erbil – March 4, 2026
– Ismail Rahimi (Ako) – member of the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan – killed in a drone and rocket attack in Zrgwez near Sulaymaniyah – March 7, 2026
– Omid Veysi (Omid Ravansar) – member of the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan – killed in a drone strike in Zirgwezala, south of Sulaymaniyah – March 11, 2026
– Iqbal Salehpour, from Saqqez – member of the Khabat Organization of Iranian Kurdistan – killed in a drone strike in Erbil – March 13, 2026 – Fakhraddin Moradi, from Sanandaj – member of the Khabat Organization of Iranian Kurdistan – killed in the same drone strike in Erbil – March 13, 2026
