Peyman Viyan, co-chair of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), stated in an interview with Israeli journalist Itai Anghel that Iran’s freedom could be achieved through cooperation between the Iranian people and foreign forces. According to the N12 network, Viyan described PJAK as the “most powerful” guerrilla force opposing the Iranian government.
Emphasizing the role of Kurdish women in regional struggles, Viyan said that Kurdish women have always been at the forefront of the fight for freedom in the Middle East and are now inspiring women in Iran. She stated that the group’s goal is to expand protests and achieve freedom through revolution.
The report also included interviews with several female PJAK members who spoke about their readiness to defend themselves under any circumstances. One of them stressed, “Sometimes, for a nation to have the right to live freely, others must make sacrifices.”
Additionally, an Iranian civil activist told the journalist about his arrest and torture by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and called for justice.
