Kurdish political prisoners are under pressure in Urmiye prison

By continuing the pressure policy on the prisoners in Urmiye prison, three of them were summoned by prison’s protection office and another prisoner was in solitary confinement for a week.

According to the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran, the protection of intelligent service in Urmiye prison during last few weeks several times summoned the two Kurdish political prisoners who were sentenced to death, Sirwan Njawi , Behruz Alxani and Ali Hussein Endy, the Kurdish political prisoners from northern Kurdistan who was charged because of cooperation with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

Intelligence officials in the prison threatened the prisoners with running death sentence and exiling them to another prison because they have been talking and discussing politics with other prisoners.

Also according to the same source, Mohemmed Emin Ebdollahi, other Kurdish political prisoners in Urmiye prison, on Saturday 30th March, for unclear reasons held in solitary confinement. And he did not have any rights to contact and were not allowed to meet his family.

Mohemmed Emin Ebdollahi is from Boukan. He is in prison since autumn 2005. He has sentenced 15 years in prison along with exile to Tabas prison. He has been charged with Moharebeh.
