NORTH KURDISTAN, — Following a village raid in Bingol on 22 December, sixteen BDP voters were taken into custody. Twelve of them were jailed today.
Within the raids on 22 December 16 civilians were taken to Bingol Gendarmerie Station Command for an unknown reason. Detainees were referred to Bingol Court after the legal proceedings.
Of sixteen detainees twelve were remained in custody for allegedly “aiding an illegal organization”.
Following another spate of house raids in Kerboran district of Mardin15 minor children were taken into custody since last night.
Detained children, ages between 12 and 17, were reportedly taken into custody on the grounds of joining protest and ceremonies of Kurdish guerrillas.
