On Sunday, April 25, 2021, a woman committed suicide by taking pills in this week and ended her life.
The identity of this woman is “Shilan Veisi”, 33 years old, a resident of “Chor” village of Marivan city.
Until this report, the reason of this citizen’s suicide is unknown.
Forced marriage, gender discrimination, lack of legal protection for women, poverty and unemployment are major causes of suicide in East Kurdistan.
